In the West Bank of Palestine, life for many Palestinians happens between checkpoints. Movement restrictions by Israeli forces, and violence, have dramatic daily consequences for people, including for our Médecins Sans Frontières (MSF) colleagues.

Shireen Nazzal and Shoruq Al-Madmooj provide mental health support to communities, as a psychologist and social worker respectively. In Between two checkpoints: Living and working in the West Bank, they share how their work has changed over the last 20 years, and especially since 7 October 2023.
